SOS from the Worcestershire M.E. Support Group – help us or we go under! | 3 September 2016

September 3, 2016

The future of the Worcestershire M.E. Support Group – will it thrive for the foreseeable future or be forced to close because of an acute shortage of volunteers willing to take on positions of responsibility as committee members? – will be decided on Friday, September 23.

The committee sent out a clarion call this week asking members to turn out in force to the group's Annual General Meeting that day in order to save the group from collapse.

The group holds regular monthly meetings in Malvern, Droitwich and Worcester, and has recently been holding successful group lunches at venues round the county.

“The possible closure of the group has been discussed in the past and committee members now feel this is imminent – that is, unless people come forward to take on positions of responsibility, so the group can continue,” commented group chairman Ian Logan.

“Please become a member of this group, and become involved in its future.”

The AGM will be held at The Malvern Cube, Albert Road North, Malvern, a local community centre, at 2pm on Friday, September 23. For further information, please phone Ian Logan on 01886 888419.
