A free online support group in Greater Manchester for patients with ME and CFS. Based in Trafford and Salford.
The Motivational Empowerment Group for ME/CFS has created a environment where we communicate and share our strengths and look at the things we can and do achieve. We have the opportunity to make new friends and acquaintances with people we may never have met due to our restrictions and social limitations.
This certainly helps us all to grow and nurtures self-confidence and trust because we all help to empower each other by just being a part of the group. MEG meets fortnightly on a Wednesday – Golborne Library, Tanners lane, Golborne, Warington, WA3 3AW – most meetings are informal get-together’s where we chat and catch up on each other’s news.
Fellow sufferers are welcome and we hope to have some activities planned for the coming new year. There are always refreshments available, tea/coffee, etc.
Salford and Trafford ME Group
This is a group for all people diagnosed with ME CFS or Fibromyalgia, their friends, carers and relatives. The group is open to everyone from Salford and Trafford and the surrounding districts of Manchester, and Cheshire.
The group meets on the first Friday on each month at The Bevano Lounge, Unit 10, Eden Square, Urmston, Manchester M41 2BE, at 2.00pm.
Stockport ME Group
We are an independent registered charity, run by volunteers, whose aim is to help improve the quality of life for all ME sufferers, their families and carers. The group actively campaigns for improved services for all sufferers, e.g. NHS and statutory benefits.
We meet on the second Friday of each month, except in August and December, at Stockport Friends (Quaker) Meeting House, 2 Cooper Street, Stockport, 10.30am for 11.00am. Tea, coffee and biscuits are served. Admission £1. The meetings begin at 10am and finish at noon, although some stay a while to chat a bit longer.
