Fibro & ME Ilkeston, Derbyshire
Fibro & ME is a volunteer-run support group for people affected by fibromyalgia and ME/CFS and their carers in the East MIdlands area. We are based in Ilkeston, Derbyshire.
We meet every Tuesday 11am – 1pm. We aim to provide a sense of belonging and friendship in a relaxed and supportive environment and we hope to reduce the social isolation often caused by these illnesses. We run a variety of activities including crafts, chair based exercise classes, reflexology, assisted walks, family events during school holidays and easily accessible trips.
Every weekly meeting includes a 1 hour cuppa and chat session to enable members to share useful tips and seek advice. We work in partnership with local and national organisations to share information and knowledge about services that could benefit our members and their families. Above all we offer the opportunity to meet with people who understand without the need for explanation.
A warm welcome awaits you!
