The Gibson Enquiry – next meeting

The next meeting of the Group for Scientific Research into ME has been set for 6 February 2007

Further to the publication of the Group's Report at the end of last year, the GSRME is holding a meeting to discuss the Report, how to use it and how to keep the political momentum behind the ME cause.

2007 will be an extremely important year for ME as it will see the publication of the new NICE guidelines and the new DWP guidelines. It is vital that the patient voice is heard and that ME is kept on the political agenda. The GSRME hopes the Report will help as a vehicle to do that.

The meeting will be held on 6 February, 2.30-5.00 p.m., at the Houses of Parliament. The meeting will consist of one hour to discuss the report, a short break, and one hour to discuss the future, i.e. getting results and ME campaigning in 2007.

Those who spoke at the Oral Hearings will be offered places first. There will also be a limited number of spaces available to the public. If you would like to apply for a place at the meeting then please email veros@parliament.uk with the Subject Heading REQUEST FOR GSRME MEETING. For those who are unable to attend, the minutes and a full report on the meeting will be available via this website after the event.
