A showing of Jennifer Brea’s Unrest film, organised by the ME Association and Shella Films by courtesy of the Rt Hon John Bercow MP, Speaker of the House and Patron to the ME Association. Speakers will include the Countess of Mar, MEA medical adviser Dr Charles Shepherd and Jennifer Brea. Dr Charles Shepherd, Nicola Anson, Nicki Strong, Martine Ainsworth Wells and Mary Riley, will represent the ME Association and will help ensure that MPs and members of the House of Lords are left in no doubt as to the seriousness of M.E. and our need for investment in biomedical research and the production of effective treatments. The ME Association is especially grateful to Lucy Wilson, UK Impact Producer of Unrest, and her team who have worked incredibly hard to help make this such an important event, and to Sarah Reed, for organising the Early Day Motion campaign with #MEAction.Invited guests only.

Kirklees and Calderdale ME Support Group have organised two screening today of Jennifer Brea’s film, Unrest. Winner of The Sundance Film Festival, Special Jury Award for Editing, and Sheffield Doc/Fest Illuminate Award
The Square Chapel are also showing the Unrest Virtual Reality exhibition. Unrest VR is an interactive experience inspired by Jennifer Brea’s feature documentary about her ME. Free at Square Chapel from 12noon – 8pm on Tuesday 24 October. The CureME team at the LSHTM invite you to a screening of Unrest (https://www.unrest.film), a film about the experience of living with ME/CFS. The film follows the life of Jennifer Brea, a Harvard PhD student suddenly left bedridden by the disease and includes other experiences of ME/CFS. The event is free and is open to the public. People with ME/CFS, their carers, and others with an interest in the disease including medical students, nurses, researchers and charity representatives are particularly welcome. After the film, there will be a panel discussion involving researchers and clinicians in the field, as well as representatives from ME/CFS charities. The film will have an interval with refreshments, which will also allow a period of rest for people who experience fatigue. The film lasts 1 hour 37 minutes.

West Lothian ME Self-Help Group drop=in session held here on the first Saturday of each month, and on the third Tuesday of each month (between 2pm and 4pm). An informal session where users can drop in for a chat or play some games. This session will also host craft activities and therapeutic services such as Reiki and Hypnotherapy.
