Latest ME/CFS Guidelines - 2007

Sussex & Kent ME/CFS Society - this year marking the 20th anniversary of its foundation - is distributing the very latest guideline booklet on ME/CFS.
The 16-page booklet is suitable for professionals and patients. It has been revised by its author Dr Charles Shepherd, who was a member of the Chief Medical Officer's working group on CFS/ME. It covers research, diagnosis and illness management.

This is the third edition of the guidelines that have proved so popular that thousands of the last edition were distributed across the United Kingdom and overseas, and translated into other languages.

Colin Barton, chair of the Sussex and Kent Society, commented:

"Even though most doctors recognise ME/CFS as a serious illness and do their best to treat and support their patients, some with the condition have had to wait months for a firm diagnosis. The society hopes that the reviewed guidelines will help doctors recognise the illness quickly and enable them to administer symptom control and advise on appropriate management strategies."

Copies available at £3.50 each.
