The news item below refers to a report on Ampligen that has been prepared by the National Horizon Scanning Centre (NHSC) at the University of Birmingham. The NHSC prepares reports for NICE and the Department of Health on new and emerging treatments that may not yet be approved or licensed for use in the UK.Dr Charles Shepherd, MEA Medical Adviser, was involved in the preparation of the Ampligen report. As stated in the news item, the Ampligen report was published in December 2007 but is not yet available to the public.
