What does ME Connect do?

Our volunteers will try to help with questions on:

  • ME/CFS and its symptoms
  • management of the illness
  • welfare benefits - although ME Connect is unable to give individual advice on benefits, our volunteers will be able to signpost you to leaflets and telephone numbers to help you
  • leaflets, books and other merchandise available from The ME Association - we can also send you an Order Form if you wish. We are able to send Information Packs to non-members. Please click here for a copy of our Order Form for leaflets, books and other items
  • details of local groups
  • local Consultants and Clinics
Where we cannot help directly, we aim to be able to point you in the direction of someone who can. We have a comprehensive list of companies, organisations and helplines who may be able to help with specific/specialist information.

Similarly, if your illness has caused a problem and you just need someone to listen, our volunteers are happy to do so.

ME Connect, whilst dealing with questions on a range of medical and other issues, does not give medical or legal advice, nor does it offer a counselling service. For medical advice, please contact your GP or a suitably qualified medical professional; for legal advice, please contact your local Citizens Advice Bureau or a solicitor. Should your professional require information or guidance, please ask them to contact ME Connect.
