How good might volunteering be as a way to get you back into paid work? | tell Work4ME in confidence | 2 February 2016

February 2, 2016

Work4ME, the Glasgow-based co-operative which aims to help people with long-term and chronic illnesses get back into employment, is conducting a confidential survey of people's opinions of the challenges and opportunities posed by volunteering as a route back to work.

The short questionnaire, which should take no more than five minutes to complete, can be found HERE. It is open to anyone in the UK.

The survey is a mixture of multiple choice questions with a few boxes for free expression of one's ideas.

Sonia Last, from Work4ME, commented: “We know that there are both challenges and opportunities following this route and would like to establish the perceived value of volunteering for people with long-term conditions who are struggling to move into paid work.”

The survey closes at 5pm on Friday, February 19, and the results will be published on the Work4ME website in April.

Funding for the survey has been provided by Scotland's Health and Social Care Alliance.
